ANDY ZERGER
Andy Zerger started Martial Arts as a young boy and excelled in his instruction, earning a black belt in RAFK (American Freestyle Karate) from David Rine in Liberal. KS. Zerger's skill and dedication earned him opportunities to be part of several national competitive teams, winning several world titles such as NBL, SKI, and NASKA titles. Living throughout the United States, Andy spent several years in the tough and highly competitive South Bronx in New York with Jerry "Fast Feet" Fontanez as well as in Dallas, Texas with World Karate Champion John Rine developing his world class martial art skill.
Muay Thai was introduced to Zerger at the age of fifteen by five time World Muay Thai Champion, David Thunder Cummings. Needless to say, Muay Thai was the kick Andy had been looking for in competitive fighting. Spending the next several years training in Muay Thai, Above the Waist Kickboxing, as well as boxing, Zerger's skills continued to vastly improve. Later Zerger would meet Saekson Janjira, and through their friendship and partnership of over a decade, Andy has trained with over thirty Lumpinee, WBC, IKF, WMTA, and K1 Muay Thai champions. Since his early days in martial arts training and still continuing today, Zerger has fought Muay Thai in globe-trotting fashion in Asia, Europe, New York, Los Angeles, and several other states across the USA.
Andy Zerger's years of training and fight experience with some of the best in the martial arts world have given Zerger the skills and ability to train countless fighters that have won over 25 belts. All of his accomplishments (black belt at sixteen, world champion, world-wide travel, and title holding) and champion students have all been achieved by his early thirties. While Zerger still competes throughout the world presently, his primary focus is with his many students, sharing his knowledge and experiences with each of them in order to help guide them toward championship martial art skill level as well as guiding all his professional students and those wishing to become more physically active in achieving a physically and mentally fit lifestyle.
ROSS PURITTY
Ross Puritty played Div. 1 football at the University of Texas, El Paso. After suffering a career-ending injury, Ross became continually more focused on his boxing, in which he began training during his teen years. His skills developed quickly, and he soon began to fight all over the United States, becoming a force to be known and feared in the heavyweight boxing community.
Throughout his impressive career, Ross has always worked with underprivileged youths. This allowed him to give back to the career that in his words saved his life. Ross's career has not only taken him all over the continent, but all over the globe. While his list of sparring partners has included the likes of Evander Holyfield, Larry Holmes, Frank Bruno, and many others, opponents have made Ross Puritty a known name in the boxing community. He has fought and beat Joe Hipp and lost a slim split decision that many have argued to Tommy Morrison (star of Rocky V). Ross also took Chris Byrd and Hasim Rahman the distance. He has beaten Wladimir Klitschko in a real life Rocky IV story by taking a fight in a week, flying for two days to Kiev, Ukraine to a fight some thought he could not win. Ross The Boss punished Klitschko for eleven bruising rounds until Wladimir's trainer came into the ring to throw in the towel, giving Puritty a TKO (Klitschko's first loss) and thus winning the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship!
Currently Ross The Boss Puritty resides in Wichita, KS with his wife and children. Ross still fights occasionally all over the world, but his focus is in training his kids, the Wichita Hard Hitters, in his youth boxing program. Ross's goal is to teach underprivileged children a skill and help them develop into winners in the ring and, most importantly, in life.
